I need YOUR help. I’m doing a project with The Clash album Sandinista!, and I need anyone who can to rank all 36 of its songs on this Google Form. Big thanks to anyone who actually does this. https://forms.gle/5Y8V3irj8wcPaJTw7

I was super-bullish on the whole album on a (kinda zooted) revisit recently and now that I'm in a more stop-and-think mode I could probably break down the ratios in @sotoalfred.bsky.social terms as:
GOOD TO GREAT: 15
SOUND, SOLID: 16
MEH: 2
THE HAGUE: 4
I had the dub stuff pretty low, but mostly just because a lot of it doesn’t really move me. Even something like “Junkie Slip,” while almost certainly worse, does engage me.
The dub stuff and all the fluff I think is great because even the stuff that doesn’t hit was great for their legacy, the idea that they were a first wave punk band that could take on so many styles. Or even that they wanted to
The author asks "would Sandinista be better if it were a single 12-track album?" and invites a bunch of people to share their personal 12-track Sandinista. Fun book.
FOLKS. PLEASE do not submit anonymously. I need to track you down if you mess up and do something like failing to rank a song or ranking the same song twice.
One of my all time bands — and their most signifianct album for song writting diversity. But ranking all 36 songs? Dang, that's a massvie ask. Can I ask why?
Trying to gauge public opinion, sort things into tiers, creating the ultimate short version of the album. Feel free to take your time, end of week would be more than good enough.
So I have them all ranked. Going out to dinner and then when I get home will get them on the sheet. I divided into three buckets: Great, Decent, Meh. Then ranked each song in each bucket.
