Puttering around with my goal of filling in the etymologies of all chemical elements, and found that "Rutherford" is a synonym of "Oxford" 😄

*hrunþaz: "horned beast, cow, ox", apparently Pre-Germanic *ḱrn̥tos. Presumably a derivative of *ḱr̥h₂nóm, which also gives *hurną > "horn"
