Mentally ill people actually need financal support because of our disabilites. If we're disabled out of the workforce, out of the workforce otherwise, or creating catastrophes we can't help that need fixing. It's not enabling us & we're not a burden. @mewefree.bsky.social @coolhand.bsky.social

I try to have minimal financial dependence on my parents. They are very stingy even though they're not poor & attach emotional strings to everything. But I have fucked up & needed them as a last resort. And I don't like when family of mentally ill people talk like financal support is enabling them.
