This is not anarchism, this is selfishness. Mutual aid is about those who have in the community giving to those who do not have. It's not that the giver must benefit. That's capitalism. Mutual aid as laid out by our ideology is about supporting all. @tichatnwa.bsky.social @161bklyn.bsky.social
So, this person labels herself as an "anarchist", but here she implies that people who ask for survival funds should either prove that they "deserve" such funds or give something back in the same or greater value as whatever aid they receive.
As if Mutual Aid is a loan or a contract.

That person also sounds like a great big jerk.
I’m Diana. My family and I are facing very difficult circumstances in Gaza, and we need your help. Any donation, no matter how small, can make a big difference in our lives. If you can contribute or even share this message, I would be deeply grateful. Thank you♥️
if I give someone $50 I don't really give a shit what they spent it on. as soon as the money leaves my hand it's no longer mine
I've written college papers on this.
again, mutual aid =\= charity. it is ingenuine to conflate the two.
mutual aid is not a "multidirectional exchange." and if it is, that would only be because person 1 is receiving aid, mutually, from person(s) 2, 3, 4 etc.
please do better.
When the mutual aid goes to the most vulnerable, it’s a mutual benefit to the COMMUNITY that the individual belongs to.
Aiding the survival of an individual strengthens the collective and solidarity.
And it means we have the most amazing support from each other because we support community.
