The biggest difference between Canada and the US on residential schools is that we’re further down the road in examine the past, with Murray Sinclair running the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. The US still hasn’t even started grappling with the problem they had from what I can see online.

Like the average American doesn't know we had schools, or what they were, or that our languages and religions were illegal for us into my lifetime, or that forced sterilization was active into 2018. Or that our children were purchasable until ICWA.
