Maybe I'm naive, but it's hard to say since no one's really doing it—but maybe our politics is ready for someone who can passionately, forcefully argue that "taking care of people is good and helps us all, actually." With as much bravado as a Trump but with way more heart and clarity.

Bernie's presidential campaigns were a pretty good test run for this idea, too. Like obviously he lost, but as a political education / class-consciousness building project it was remarkably successful.
