They are...content? Sleeping? I dunno, they have decentralized nervous systems so they don't have feelings. They kinda just hang out in the sand their whole life 🤷♀️

That is so cool. Amy has been trying to get me to move to Portland so we can be near the beach. I've never lived near a beach, it sounds interesting and rewarding.
Portlander here! We’d welcome you with open arms! While the cost of living here is higher, it’s typically cooler in the summer comparatively, has an international airport, and within easy driving distance of a lot of cool things. And the indie wrestling scene is pretty legit too. ☺️
You live in Phoenix and are having trepidations about moving? I have to assume you have a lot of family/friends there, yeah? Not that Phoenix is a bad place, that heat would be a non-starter for me.
Caregiving is definitely something I know a thing or two about, my mother passed from Alzheimer's a couple of years ago. My dad was her primary and we(me and 2 bros)helped where/when we could, but I get it, I wasn't moving out of town while she was alive.
Keep in mind that not all beaches are the same! A south-western US beach is very different than a PNW beach. A lot of ours are very rocky and not your picturesque sandy landscapes
Yeah, she’s from there and has taken me there. She really wants to move back one day, and Phoenix isn’t exactly the most pleasant place for 75% of the year.
I tend to agree we need to escape. I’ve argued for Seattle as at least there are tech companies.
If y’all do make the move or even have questions about the area before making the decision, I’m more than happy to be a resource. And for what it’s worth, you guys would totally fit in here. ☺️
