as recent as this time period is, it’s been forgotten. Mainstream America was all for the second (and first) Iraq War.

Every time the Oscars roll around I think of the time I was there, nominated for my first short film, it's the year 2003, Michael Moore wins and says "Mr. Bush shame on you, we don't want to go to war with Iraq" and the entire theater full of "liberal" American artists start booing him off stage.
