I love the pomp of liturgy, and I am a sucker for a good gothic religious aesthetic. But these "rad trad" Catholics are nostalgiac for a Church that A) didn't really exist anywhere but their fantasies and B) they never had to deal with. It was less "O magnum mysterium" and more Magdalene laundry.
