"oh no did we accidentally vote against our own interests and allow a group of unelected oligarchs to take over the country because we've been brainwashed by decades of propaganda into hating our neighbors and believing that they're the problem with society?"
To be fair, unless the system comes after you personally it is difficult to see the propaganda for what it is. There are tonnes of people who still not affected enough to care let alone take action.
Yeah this can be true. Although I think it is particularly difficult for Americans to see it for what it is because we have been trained to not think or care about other people. This is the "sin of empathy" that the same propaganda outlets are ranting about right now.
I sat with a Texan on a plane from Edmonton to Yellowknife. He was going up to shoot something. I work in logistics and I was wondering how he was going to get the meat back to Texas. He got really defensive and said it was legal. Apparently he only wanted the head of whatever he killed.

Same shit that rogue states are trying to accomplish with disinfo campaigns in literally EVERY Western State right now.

American disregard for life/empathy is very prevalent throughout society what with the healthcare system and routine shootings.
It's one import to Canada I'd be happy to do without.
My mistake was assuming he was going hunting because he enjoyed game.
