I got one in this area. There were CD/DVD burners that had this thing called Lightsctibe, that let you burn images on the cover side. Jank as hell but still fun. Always burned a cover image on my anime discs 💕

Yeah, all that work is so much easier now to just use a USB, or load them up on a phone. Or cloud, either local or whatnot.

I can't really even justify using that old tech anymore heh.

I remember a mixtape store at the mall. You fill out a paper card from a catalogue with the tracks you wanted and 60 minutes later it was ready. In the CD era it was just a mix as no tape was involved.

This was what I did for my old car that had a cd player. Sometimes id even create beatmatched mixes in Ableton to burn to cd. I messed around with DJing when cds were still being used. Sick of writing on my burnt cds, I bought a printer that could print on cds so I could have track lists on them

I didn't have a CD player (that was for rich kids), but i was making fun mixtapes on actual tapes. Was recording the songs from the radio on one tape, then copied from that tape on to mixtape using a double deck player. As you can imagine, the quality was absolute ass, but i didn't know any better
