I have deactivated all meta. Uninstalled TikTok. I'm in shock that they did actually block the use of TikTok. I really didn't think they could or would do that. I'm sickened by the inclusion of the orange man's name on the band screens. Just going to sit with this for a bit and figure out what's up. - ThreadSky

It looks like the whole thing was engineered to make T a “hero” by saving TikTok. I assumed that the purpose was to lower the price so that one of our local Oligarchs could get it for a lower price. Now it looks like maybe he’s collecting international oligarchs and/or trying to win over gen z.

I have no answers on that one. I would have dropped Meta, but I have too many specialized groups for medical stuff. I’d probably be happier without FB, and I’ve never had a TikTok account.

Yeah. I'm struggling without FB right now. I have a couple of specialty groups I'm part of too, including one for that yarn retreat I signed up for. I may back down sooner than a week because I would like to connect with those people before the trip but it's a few weeks off still so there's time.

I saw this yesterday and I feel a bit better. I still haven't used TikTok or meta. Seeing Trump's name on the app has left a very bad taste in my mouth. I agree the optics make it look like a stunt but I don't know what to think anymore.
