He decided to try and talk to that teen. That’s what normal people do, right? They talk? Yes… that’s it, they talk. So he finally went down there, in the open.
Sarah didn’t expect anyone from that place to even pay attention to her. She was surprised that this… odd old man was approaching her. He had a Winter Day hat… was he harmless?
He said hi and something about the Father Winter being able to travel through people’s fireplaces or something so it was better to always keep the fire lit - did he blow some bubbles? He was showing his crooked teeth and frequently showing the palms of his hands… is this his attempt to be friendly?
He seemed happy when she appreciated him lighting the bonfire. And they talked for a bit. Nothing too important and a few things he said were actually weird, still, it was good to forget the whole ordeal of the day.
It was a little teddy bear furry-like toy. The man said it would keep her company and protect her from there on as it was a very brave little guy. Sarah was a bit surprised by the gift, but she could use some company - even if the company was a toy...
