However, it doesn't give me magic art skills (aside from occasional intuitive hits about composition or color mixing) and it makes it harder for me to finish pieces.
Sweet! Will the viral comic be about California Raisins? You never hear about those guys anymore. Of course, that was many years ago… How long do raisins live?
Every artist makes this comic eventually, which means that every artist makes a dark bargain with a distinct entity. I guess that accounts for differences in style.
@stephenking.bsky.social says his muse is a grumpy dude in a basement. Mine is an ethereal woman living far away who sends faint transmissions I can only catch if I raise an aerial above the roof & listen very carefully. “An SF story about Rome where the Industrial Revolution started around 100AD.”
