Some people are thinking "isn't that the case for all mutliplayer games", but I think we were all in agreement that random co-op with strangers worked better in traditional souls games while strategizing and communicating had a big impact on Nightreign's enjoyability. It felt more important here.

Just finished a Nightreign session playing with illusory wall and Zullie, and it confirmed my feelings that playing with friends and being able to talk/strategize is a lot more fun than playing with randoms.
Still fun either way, but yeah, a noticeable difference

For me, it's gonna be a good excuse to be more social within the Souls community. This was my first time playing a game with Zullie, for example!
I think doing a full Souls playthrough..
That is cool and I appreciate that aspect.
And yet, I've had those nights where I just put down summon signs repeatedly in Dark Souls or Elden Ring, engaging in cyclical co-op without any real goals for progressing in the game.
I think so!
But the jury is still out on how deep or far the replay value will go, and we won't know until the final release.
Beating the game for the first time, beating each Nightlord with each character, playing with friends, etc.
Nightreign is going to excel in that department, easily.
Let's fucking goooooooooo!
