I would look at products from Eucerin and Cerave, both of which absorb easily and completely IME. Eucerin has a gel-cream that is v lightweight and still moisturizes (tho not as well as something thicker). You might also try a body oil, I love Aveeno’s, feels v moisturizing but no residue on my skin

Ahh I see downthread theres a fragrance issue. Avoid the Aveeno oil then. Try these two first.
The Eucerin may be easier to find in France.

I'm not fond* of the texture thing either, but I find this one works for me. It takes about five minutes to settle down, especially if you rub it in. Might not work for anyone else, but I've been satisfied with it, even after they changed the formula slightly a couple of years ago.

I've had really good luck with Olay Ultimate. I think I used the night time formula and it soaks in pretty quick. I can't stand that sticky feeling either.

I use pure aloe vera gel for eczema / contact dermatitis that leaves the skin on my hands dry and flaky in winter. No scent, no allergens, no gunky residue feel after. It feels a bit sticky as you put it on, but it dries in half a minute and feels... just gone.

You can feel the film of it again if you wash your hands soon after, but it washes off easy, and I just reapply. I suspect Vitamin D is also making a big difference, as summer basically eradicates it for me since I took up gardening, getting way more sunshine through those months.

A little niche but I've used this for tattoo aftercare and it has a much thinner and less creamy texture than most moisturisers

It's a pain, but I've been crushing up turmeric (in a mortar and pestle!) mixed w water, then dipping a paper towel and appying to skin. (Might leave staining on lighter skin!) Leave it for 30 minutes, then shower. After jojoba/argan/rosehip oil, then towel off. Then lotion, which I hate 🙃.

My hands this winter were bleeding dry and decided to give this oil a go since it's around (it belongs to my mil). Proud to report that it works, it's not sticky, it absorbs super fast and I didn't detect any serious scent (I am also sensitive to it).

Here in the Tru North my hands get destroyed in the winter. My fingers get so dry and painfully cracked that I have to slather my hands with bag balm and sleep with them in socks. Dunno if you know bag balm but it can be sticky and greasy and it doesn’t smell great…but, hey, it works 😁

Is oily better than sticky / tacky? Sometimes baby oil is very light. Otherwise, a swift absorption cream like Eucerin that disappears v quickly. But I hear the pain

Neutrogena has a line for day wear moisture and Bare Minerals may have a treatment of minerals. Otherwise they all feel like gum. I used the routine than splash with water and dry. I look like a Cali desert woman, not like Kathryn Wales

For hands, this is the least sticky one I’ve found. For body, I second the in-shower lotions someone else mentioned—I like Jergens Wet Skin. I didn’t notice a fragrance, but then I’m only sensitive to /some/ fragrances.

I like Kiehl's dry body oil that I spray on after showering, but it is scented with vanilla so I don't know if fragrance is an issue. But not sticky or greasy!

I’ve been using cold cream on the extra itchy eczema bits when I’m in the shower and it helps a lot as a sort of base layer for moisturizers. I’ve also used castor oil as a good barrier over any moisturizer for the backs of my hands.

I was going to ask about how you did with gel! It’s $$$ so I only use it on my face/neck and get it during sales, but the moisture surge by Clinique (pink gel, I have the 100H) is lovely. Little to no scent (definitely not perfumey) and doesn’t get sticky for me like most lotions.

how are u with serums? hyaluronic acid rlly helps me out. the inkey urea 10% moisturiser was great when i was first starting my routine, but over time it made my skin oily and felt a bit heavy on my skin. the cerave moisturising lotion is what im currently using and it feels really lightweight

u could also try washing ur face with water in mornings and double cleansing at night! try foamy and/or hydrating cleansers, and an oil based one is good if u have been wearing makeup or sunscreen

For me, what does the trick is bath oils —reading a book in the bath to give the oil time to soak in— and showering afterwards with a hydrating lotion instead of shower gel.
I doubt you'd find in France what I buy here at the pharmacy, but I imagine pharmacists in France can get you sorted.

I don't much like the feel of bath oil after the bath, but using lotion instead of shower gel (which I also do for most of my regular showers) seems to undo the oiliness of the bath without undoing the moisturising.

I have the same aversion -- in-shower moisturizers have been revolutionary for me. You put them on while still in the shower and either wash them off immediately or leave them on depending on the formulation. I also find Cetaphil hydrating lotion much more tolerable than others.

I’ve used and loved similar products but caveat emptor: they can make your shower *extremely* slippery, not recommended for anyone with mobility/balance issues. But they do feel amazing.

I got an in-shower moisturizer. You put it on while in the shower. It bothers me so much less to do it while I'm already wet, and water is still running.

Feels like nothing at all once you dry off. (Barely feels like anything while putting it on, too.)

Urea creams!!! I like malezia face moisturizer or cosrx oil free moisturizer. They actually sink into ur skin instead of staying ontop of it. I also heard of neutrogena? Or maybe it was another company making a dry-touch lotion so its a mositurizer that dries down!

Eucerin is thick, but it absorbs thoroughly and doesn’t leave a sticky feeling. St. Ives is lighter and also absorbs well. I use the collagen and elastin renewing blend.

Same. I use Cerave on recommendation of my allergist, it works pretty well, I use the one with some SPF protection because I'll get a reaction from the sun too :(
