Trae Young has been dealing with a legit Achilles problem that has made him visibly worse at basketball. OTOH he played 38 minutes the game before, 33 the game after, there two off days on either side of this game, and he hasn't missed any others .... so the optics on this weren't great.
NBA fines the Hawks $100,000 for holding Trae Young out of the Nov. 12 game against the Celtics. The league says an investigation determined that Atlanta held Young out of a game “that he could have played in under the medical standard” of the league’s Player Participation policy.
