Heavy Metal is such a broad paintbrush it’s hard to say it’s all the same. There are many bands called metal that frankly aren’t but the music media’s incessant need to pigeonhole everything is overwhelming. I stand by my comment that sampling isn’t music, I will die on that hill.
Rob Halford dated my best friends mum when they were both teens. She only had nice things to say about him. But she still hated heavy metal and wouldn’t let her son listen to it.
