I think Collins v. McConnell is the right comparison. IOW is it worse to do evil thinking you're doing good like C/S or do evil knowing you're doing evil and also with an evil little chortle--Mc/R?

Equal but different types of evil IMO. Sulzberger rode the NYT's reputation among liberals to sneak conservative propaganda in, whereas I feel most to all liberals knew what Fox was/is.

oddly at this point in time, today, you could make an argument that AG is more dangerous because he is fixated on juicing near term engagement (he's a quarter at a time guy) but the Murdochs have been long term planners. What Musk/Trump is doing right now is a disaster for Murdoch's long term wealth

Sulzberger is comparatively young, so his acquiescence seems more perfidious, somehow.

Fox isn’t even classified as an actual news station with the FCC. They are classified as an entertainment channel because they consistently lie all the time but claim it’s just their opinion shows. Yet no one forces them to make that clear daily, so people believe it’s legit news. 🙃 2/2
