The volunteers who are burned out are often so because of potentially intense mistreatment - or misalignment.
I think this needs to get talked about but I don't think anyone will platform it rn.

I almost forgot: your local area probably has a science fiction convention that is run by volunteers who are struggling with massive burnout. Step forward and get involved!
