You sound like the racists I dealt with—people acting like marginalized authors are an asking for a FAVOR that would make publishers go OUT OF BUSINESS.
What marginalized authors want is a BUSINESS PARTNER.
It *is* capitalism for a publishing house to take the labor that authors have done and to not safeguard the payments.
They want to get paid money that is owed to them.
Your ability to get personal loans is inevitably limited. If you hit the point where you can’t get personal loans to cover operating costs, you fold.
