I am not a big donor, but I usually max donate for prez, donate to dem party, and have donated a few thousand to out of state senate campaigns over the years. They get no money from me until I see a better plan. They also get no money if they provide votes for debt ceiling and budget.

Agreed. I don’t know how anyone can say their hands are tied when we know Rs have no trouble gumming up the works when they are out of power. Although I wonder how much is it their major donors who are at least partially responsible for their unwillingness to do anything.

Just like a "protest vote" only empowers the opponent. I don't care what they do as long as they are doing something. Given the current state and their minority status, there isn't much they can do. They are trying to work within their legal limits. They may get arrested if they do anything else.

We've known that Trump would be president since election day. Biden was still president for almost three months. Much could have been done to prepare defenses against policies everyone knew Trump would implement. Yet Democrats literally did nothing except sit on their hands.

I disagree. Biden invested $millions into strengthening policies benefitting Americans, 🇺🇦, etc, in his last 3 mos. Ditto for issuing numerous EOs to at least help slow 47 down, since 47'd have to dismantle'em to further the MAGA agenda. Could more've been done? Sure, but he didn't sit on his hands.

I've never said, nor would I, any of those things. E.g. I've criticized Joe wrt Gaza, for not pardoning Cohen & other things. I'm pissed Garland didn't move faster on 45 for J6. Schumer needs replacing asap as minority leader, imo. Fetterman's gotta go, imv. Mitch was right to vote No on RFK Jr.
