1.3 million print subscribers - how many are doctors, dentists and Great Clips?
I would be surprised if 5 million copies get printed, and a shitload will wind up recycled three weeks after. Anyone who thinks this is a thing anymore is truly living back in the 80s.
No one reads that piece of trash. Even the YellowPages made up for better toilet paper.
Still everyone is losing their minds about a magazine no one reads to announce a person no one likes to be the "person of" no one cares.
I collect old Time magazines (and Newsweeks). Find them in the basement of antique stores. Have a great collection. MLK on the mall, moon landing, stuff like that. I love reading old op-Ed’s from the 30s like “Meh, this Hitler guys prob no biggie”.
it is a fond memory of mine from back in the day (90s/00s). The days before smartphones. Grab my Time or Newsweek, maybe a USA Today. Read it while eating lunch or on the train.
Something about print I miss.
Still have a print sub for The Atlantic though.
SUCH a great magazine! I call it TIME MAGAZINE! And they do such beautiful, Person of the Year they said. And it's true, so, so true. Terrific articles about... things... you wouldn't believe the things, and Hitler, such a strong leader, also Person of Year. I call him HITLER, so tough. And strong
Most magazines are just vehicles for ads, with an article or two thrown in and lots of pictures of nothing. I stopped reading magazines about 20 years ago.
I don't have a subscription. And since covid I haven't seen mags in waiting rooms. We know Maga base doesn't read, so maybe just maybe lefties need to cancel their subscriptions and stop financing this facist/rapists supporting rag.
I haven’t read an issue in 24 years, and I only remember that because my AP History teacher during senior year would distribute it during class as reading material.
I haven't since May 1996 when my teacher gave me a copy which talked about Bob Dole's last day in the Senate and how Russia was likely turning back into the USSR. Good times, I guess.

They lured in MAGAs--who don't normally read or watch media that challenges Trump.
And then they fact-checked and corrected the lies he told in the interview. Time has never fact-checked past honorees...just Trump.
