The ”What would you do if 3000$ was deposited to your paypal” is my least favorite scam. At least offer me 100k or something. This is not any more beliveable 😒

My favorite part about that scam is they think 3000$ dollars is life changing money to risk being scammed over in the current economy. Gonna need a lot more zeroes before anyone goes "I know this is a scam, but what if..."
Got this one too, instant report lol
Real answer tho, probably a quarter towards bills and life, a quarter for savings/emergency, a quarter for tech upgrades, the rest fun monie
I had it for the first time recently xD Reported it to the server mods cuz they were in a mutual server of mine. And then suddenly a few days later they came back and tried it again. These people are beyond stupid
It iiiiis. I had a lot of DMs on the *other* site where they linked me to "job offers" but always in Japanese for some reason. I'm happy that the bots haven't invaded here yet *knocks on wood*
It's usually "Oops I accidentally sent money to the wrong email/user, please send me $3k to make it even!" So you send them money, then 3 days later you get a notification from PayPal of "Hey we're reversing the $3k we gave you, because they sent it from a zero-balance bank account."
If you get sent money 'accidentally', the correct response is "Just tell PayPal to reverse it". Suddenly they'll start telling you that it's an emergency, or that they'll sue you, or some other scare tactic.
Just don't ever generate a new payment/transfer to someone in order to 'correct a mistake.'
Don’t know since i haven’t interacted, but there are many ways it could go down; e.g. Asking you to send small fee to ’cover costs of the transfer’, sending you ”too much” and asking you to return the extra and then charging back everything from their credit– losing you whatever extra you sent them
"What would you do if 3000 dollars was deposited on n your PayPal?"
Idk, i probably wouldnt spend that's for sure. Why would someone be dropping $3000 in my account? Sounds like a transaction mistake that might fuck me over if PayPal reverses the transaction and the money isn't there.
Hello, I have a question. If 2 people on the other side of the Earth coordinated with each other and put a slice of bread on the ground at the same time, would it be an Earth sandwich?
Oh absolutely not. and tbh even that is one type of scam (they’ll ask you to send it back and if you do they’ll reverse it with their card/bank so u lose 6k)
I was just trying to say they’re stil sending me these messages <3
