Crazy stuff. I was in college with a guy named Freddie Hamilton. He committed a string of robberies along with a guy from my neighborhood who I'd known since grade school. Freddie was a charmer (he wowed the girls), but there was always something a bit creepy about him. They were arrested...⬇️
...holding up a Kentucky Fried Chicken in Bridgeport. While being led away from the courthouse in my hometown he got a gun away from a state trooper, shot and killed him. He was apprehended in neighboring Tucker County and that's where the story gets interesting. While he was there, he... ⬇️
...manipulated an impressionable young inmate named David Mills, who was set to be released into kidnapping the wife of the mayor of a nearby town and holding her to demand Freddie's release. The guy ended up murdering her. You can read about that here: ... ⬇️
Freddie got life in prison at the state penitentiary, but back in 1992 he and 2 other inmates broke out after building an elaborate lighted tunnel from the prison greenhouse where they worked to outside. Here's what happened after Freddie's escape. ⬇️
Last time I saw a photo of Freddie was a few years ago when he and 2 other inmates were in court in Clarksburg charged with murdering a fellow inmate back in 1989. He had definitely cultivated a bit of a Charles Manson look (just needed a swastika on his forehead). 😂
Holy sh*t....he really does sound like a Manson of type psychopath. Thanks for sharing the story. The ones that seem sort of harmless and charming, but turn out to be murderers, are the scariest of all.
Cool story, guy looks a little creepy when you hear those details. But if I saw him working at the hardware store I wouldn’t think twice and assume he could answer all my questions. 😂
