Calling it "stealing" is counterproductive. If a policy is good, it deserves support for improvement. The message should be: “This is a start, but let’s work on it,” rather than “This is my idea, and it isn't being done correctly.” A fully solution centric approach builds interest and momentum.

love baby baskets, free bus, rent freeze, community safety corps.. somewhat suspicious of the city-owned grocery stores and the $30/hr min wage. anything city run is pretty terrible, easy to compare to state equivalents for example. what about existing dysfunctional agencies? ✅ integrity though 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

I'm not parroting whole 'government is always bad' line from the neocon right, can and should be good. NYC tries to do what it does, which is great, nowhere else I want to be, for sure. But currently, it's all run quite badly. Unfortunate that the choice is typically between an identity politics..

Free buses & subways makes sense because people generally use them to go make money or spend money, both of which generate tax revenue. Free means poor people can still use it to get to work. Tourists will find it easier to travel (and spend $). Cops don’t have to waste time w/ fare jumpers
