It looks like his involvement was a significant net negative for his candidate, so no I don’t see the outcome as anything other than positive for liberals and for democracy.
Elon spent 1/16,000th of his net worth on this race. It's nice that his candidate lost, but he could do this in every contested state and federal election in the country for decades and still be a billionaire. Agree there's really nothing to gloat about.
