You are misinformed. Tesla got a $465M loan which was paid back 9 years early in 2013 and doesn't get subsidies, unless you are talking about the federal tax credit for customers, which all car makers can qualify for. Musk has lobbied to stop the tax credit-Tesla can make EVs profitably without it.

If you look closely at Tesla's financials you will see that they are very profitable without the credits. \I worked for a furniture manufacturer that created a lot of sawdust which they would then sell to fireplace log manufacturers. Tesla's environmental credits are a similar byproduct.

His electric cars have been proven to be ass. To be unreliable, if you think I need to you polite language. But the point is not about how he amassed his wealth, it’s about these wealthy people hoarding that wealth when people are still starving and homeless. Hoarding wealth while others suffer.

The 1st electric vehicle was introduced in the 1830s, he’s an incredibly successful ambassador and figurehead but to say he’s “almost single-handedly” pushed forward electric cars ignores the accomplishments, time, and financial contributions of so many others

I’m not claiming he’s not an incredibly smart investor or representative. But he was already wealthy before his business ventures. And his greatest “success” tipped over to inflated self-promotion rather than actual contributions pretty early in his career

Then why is Tesla the only profitable electric car maker today? I would urge you to learn more about Tesla before leaping to an opinion. Sandy Munro's Tesla related videos would be a good starting point. And, BTW, I am a Tesla fan, not a Musk fan.
