I can't express in words how many times i've relied on this as my guiding philosophy every time I play poker. (which is a fair amount) - its so fitting - and, honestly, its accurate for many things, not just games of skill with randomized elements of chance sprinkled in liberally.

#NailedIt.. I tell people all the time that even something that has a 2.2% happening or so happens more than one in fifty times so..plan for it..lol. Especially when you're seeing 40-50 hands an hour in live play.

Oh I agree.. I mean at the end of the day, its kind of impossible to beat math in the long term.. I mean, it SUCKS when it happens.. but my W/L rate, my per hour rate, and my ability to have funded my life with the game when warranted speaks well for itself.. lol. I love the game, hate the lifestyle

I have genuinely based my entire teaching philosophy on Picard’s line from, of all things, “When the Bough Breaks”: “Things are only impossible until they’re not.”

Many people write my kids off. I never ever stop trying.
