I knew a guy who was pretty high up in the Christian cult the Plymouth Brethren and they have (and still do) pour a tonne of money into the Conservative Party and have a lot of sway in their mandate. Apparently at Harper's acceptance speech they were all up in the first row (called millionaire's)
