My local library district gives classes on Excel for freeeeee, check and see if yours does the same! If not group classes, some places will let you make an appointment w/a staff person who can spend time teaching you
I mean, the tables were already done, i just had to convert them from pdf and merge two of them. If I knew excel it probably would have taken like 25 minutes lol
Opening the PDF in Word (it does that, just takes some time) might make the formatting a lot more convenient for copying.

happen to know any linux/unix tricks? (both come with lots of doc, pdf, and similar tools as well as a couple office suites now) or know anyone who would? goin back to college lol
