What do they want with this information? We can only speculate but it can't be good. Maybe they want to cancel the program.

But if they find 1 person who has overstayed an H2B visa by a month but is still receiving services, they'll hold it up as proof undocumented workers are abusing the system.

All of this data can help them map communities and match names against other databases, including the children of farmworkers. And now they have all the names of people working at the grantee organizations who are committed to serving these communities.

Regardless of how they plan to use the data, scrapping this kind of program would be the perfect red meat for the base. (Nevermind that it helps farmworkers gain skills and be economically self sufficient.)

Community garden spaces exist. In home gardening exists. But yeah, we need more than that but I can't even get people to agree that stomping in the street isn't gonna feed people so we probably need to start with something they can digest
