I think the worst is when we do this to each other as disabled people - when we separate ourselves and say "I'm not like those people!" We're doing the work of eugenics for them by acting as though we're better. We owe it to each other to not leave anyone behind or throw anyone under the bus.

Side note: The typical American conservative discourse on disability is to try and carve out who is and isn't "really" disabled, who is and isn't deserving of any particular thing, to create categories of good and bad disabled. We can't let them do that, or at least, we can't help them do it.
