In the UK, the last election before World War II was in 1935, and the next didn’t take place until 1945 after the war had ended. And this was far from the only time a democratic nation postponed elections due to extreme wartime conditions.

Delaying elections during a war doesn’t make a country a dictatorship. Silencing dissent, dismantling opposition, disregarding the rule of law, and declaring a leader 'king'—well, now that’s another story entirely.
much like in france, that had the collaborator pétin, a very similar dictator, calling himself chief of the nation, and i hope that dictator orange will get the same punishment after : destitution, lose nationality etc.
