He's the House leader for Ds so of course he made a formal statement.

I've seen tons of other House Ds making verbal statements.

And of course, Senate Ds were busy kicking ass in the Senate, doing an incredible job on short notice.

You know it was Trump that made the deal with the Taliban? Leaving out the Afghan government? (He even wanted to bring the Taliban to Camp David!) Which resulted in that retreat and giving the Taliban what they needed to destroy it all? I’m not saying Biden did well, but Trump laid the groundwork.
