Reading these replies has me pondering the line between “accessibility” and “preference” — as a disabled person, I genuinely cannot tell the difference for myself sometimes. It’s only recently I’ve upgraded some needs from “nice to have” to “need to have” but it still feels demanding 😰

People that love to watch or engage with TTRPG APs - what makes that content more accessible for you? Shorter episodes? Captions?
I'm interested to hear from all, especially if you speak from a neurodiverse or disabled perspective.

Once I know that, I half that distance because I have poor internal awareness.
Then it’s about negotiating until it’s as close to comfy for everyone as possible.
Preference is “I like the way it feels when”
E.g. I *can* stream an AP for 3 hours without a break, but it’ll make me flare later vs “I’d like a break hourly, but I can make 1.5 hourly work without pain”
You'd do better with [thing] vs you will suffer during/later without.
Not that it will stop you questioning yourself, but hopefully having just that sentence on a card in your wallet/pocket to remind yourself will help
"My health suffers"
"Sounds like you do need them"
I think we sometimes don't rly think about this when joining in on accessibility discussions.
There is a place for discussing preference but there definitely are overlaps between accessibility & preference as well (since..ofc we prefer what is accessible to us)
