I’m simply saying that the idea of a free society where unsanctioned violence is off the table is pretty basic. And liberalism is (in part) the idea that questions of law and justice can be answered in good faith.

I agree. But as far as economics go we’re seeing the late devastation of the 1960ies Friedman pendulum swing (+ a media revolution, sure). And now there’s so much concentrated capital that it’s quite literally setting the planet on fire. So, if this is not class warfare, then what would you call it?
