The US government sent buyout offers to the employees of at least four US intelligence agencies in addition to the CIA as President Donald Trump's drive to shrink America's federal workforce gathered steam https://reut.rs/4jOI6NK

20k have accepted the offer by deadline. Which is like 1% of the workforce. Honestly I hope that 1% are already prepping lawsuits when Prez Musk shafts them
Not everybody has a fight in em. Some might be close to retirement anyways. 1% of a work force is barely a reduction. That's like a bad flu season being out sick
Hmmm. Experienced, highly trained spies, insulted and treated like dirt by Trump’s administration, and looking for new employment opportunities. Let’s hope their anger doesn’t push any of them into the arms of our enemies.
I hope they aren't expecting to get buy-out money. That orange fuck never paid his contractors and he won't pay these people either. He'll take the money they were supposed to get for the buy-out and line his pockets with it.
That’s not what the “offers“ to the intelligence community are about. Those are about gutting our ability to hold our own in a global community that has some members hostile to us. It’s an open invitation to adversaries to spy on us and get the upper hand.
The con is simple, yet profound.
Push the skilled out, bring the clowns.
The buyout's a scam, a corporate ruse,
Trump can't be trusted to follow through.
People who believe that Trump will find the way to pay for those buyouts are the same people who thought they would get rich by investing in courses from Trump’s phony “University”.
Once they slim down and realize their target number of employees can't keep up with the workload, then what's the plan? Hire contractors at twice the cost while being able to say that they cut the workforce down because contractors don't impact the employee numbers? Sounds about right...
If you were one of those employees and you got a sniff of another threat on Trump's life, would you be inclined right now to just ignore it? It surely must be tempting? There really doesn't seem to be much critical thinking going on with Trump and his morons.
@reuters.com confused attempt at 'neutrality' consists of amplifying unquestioned neofascist propaganda, and then a couple 'concerns' by those aligned with reality.
We can’t just rely on our elected officials to be the only voices heard. We must, each and every one of us, stand up and let our complaints and our disagreement to this corrupt administration be known. Unify, get active, be loud, be insistent and openly defiant to this corruption
Under Biden-Harris admin,everything was going smoothly✍🏽
People were getting fed up with Ukraine & Gaza but when it comes to territorial disputes, time is essence which far right got hold off & brought up a narrative of ‘incompetence’🤔
Only part where Harris faltered- she wasn’t a good liar🤦🏽♂️

Sorry, just thought I'd include a shred of context, considering this is ostensibly a NEWS headline
It's not like we're out here struggling for bulls or whatever.
