Yes…. This is all the people that would have retired this year anyway, as well as the early career, probationary, etc. folks that know they will be on the bottom of a RIF anyway. This is hardly a significant exodus.
Waaaaaaait a sec..... remember when we were driving to Grandma's across 40 in California in the desert, then we woke up in a gas station with no idea how we got there 9 hrs later?
Good luck to them. I hope it works out.
When we start hearing that they didn't get their buyouts, and are losing their homes, I will send hearts and thoughts.
Poor suckers actually think Dumps going to pay them? that’s laughable! Congress has to appropriate that money first and that won’t happen because it’s going to add up to millions/billions of dollars! They will have to stand in line behind all the broke farmers, people not getting FEMA, etc..
The budget is only until march. After this there will be no money to pay the workers who took the offer. Why does no one listen to the warnings and instead waits for the “I told you so”
It’s just a little over half of annual average. So basically these people were leaving anyway, but they’ll get paid for most of the year. Sort of like early retirement with pay. Weird flex for Trump.
If we ever have another election and democrats win they better grow a spine. They should stack the courts. Give out abortion coupons. And much much more.
this abusive extremist regime won’t pay them. It delights in treachery, indecency, and falsehood. I am ashamed to have people like Trump, Musk, and every so-called Republican represent me. It is humiliating.
It has only taken what 3 weeks to completely destroy our rights and the US government. For something that is supposed to be enduring, that no single person or persons could destroy it seems awfully easy to end the United States in the Blink of an Eye.
And I hope every single one of them files a class action lawsuit against him for resignation under duress. If he doesn’t have to play by the rules, then nobody does. 🤷🏻♀️
The people accepting the deal probably know that they’re going to end up terminated anyway, so I guess you might as well TRY and get paid to leave 🤷🏻♂️

Looks like looks like Twitter argued for arbitration (of course) to defeat a class action. Judge agreed because employees had agreed to arbitration. Then, Twitter refused to pay its share, which necessitated a court order. A court ordered mediation for Dec. 2023.
Have you looked into all of the lawsuits again his companies?
EEOC was a big one, and they were like, one of the first govt entities to get booted when he took over. He’s also been going after the FAA - and that’s who was trying to fine spaceX. He’s just targeting anything/anyone who’s crossed him.
It was reported that even replying to the emails with questions signed them up, cc-ing their supervisor signed them up, basically interacting with the offer at all enrolled the workers. This will be challenged in court I'm sure.
And if they believe that, maybe they should consult others who were "promised" to be paid by Donald J. Trump over the years... I say that's unlikely to change just because it's the government's money.
Came to the comments to say ask all of those subcontractors he failed to pay over the years. For their sake, I hope like hell I’m wrong…but I doubt it.
Run for the hills fellow public servants! You cannot serve the public under a ruler who cares not for his people. Few people want to work for the Donelon or should it be the Elon-o-Don. I guess it depends on who you think is really calling the shots.

"Current spending laws expire on March 14, and there is no guarantee that salaries would be funded beyond that point..."
Second, for whoever did take the deal, I'm sorry to say you ain't going to see a bloody penny.

Good news is 2000 cases being handled by one firm. They get advantage of numbers. Otherwise this would be very very difficult.

I know he stiffs contractors and landlords left right and centre. He's a real piece of work.

Can you obtain a breakdown as to the number that actually accepted the DR & the number that accepted VERA?
Those are 2 separate things.
Who would trust Yrumpet to pay and where are they going to get another job?
