I imagine they will find something in the Terms of Service you agreed to when creating your account, modified periodically, that lets them do anything they want when any information you provide to the platform. There's probably language about signing away your immortal soul too.
It will take international coordination & effort. Multiple push back from multiple sides. Boycotts have made a dent. We can do more.

Wherever the government is not taken over by the billionaire oligarchy and it's disinformation firehose, investigations should look into their operations. The EU and Canada should stand strong against these threats, or, to quote a phrase, "they won't have a country left!"
