You're right, nothing to do with tariffs, and everything to do with big tech following the Trump admin's lead of throwing fact checking and trying to stop misinformation under the bus.

it's alarming how easily valuable roles can vanish when contracts shift, leaving workers to grapple with the fallout of corporate decisions. perhaps it’s time we rethink the ethics of outsourcing jobs that directly impact community safety and dignity.
