Aside from how horrific a second Trump presidency would be for the whole world, I'm also guessing the Musk-Trump alliance would mean Starlink & dark skies will *never* be regulated. It's a pretty minor thing, but yeah Trump would probably also be the final nail in the coffin for global dark skies - ThreadSky

I imagine quality control is going to get cut at SpaceX and Starlink too, because it'll be seen as an unnecessary expense, just like Boeing did after the finance people took over, so they're probably going to be less reliable and brighter too.

I am fairly certain Elon has negotiated a contract to renew the US ICBM arsenal for $10-20 trillion or something of this sort. It will take ages, the Pentagon will need a subscription and when they spontaneously detonate in their silos the media will quote him saying this is a premium feature.
