Texas is on the move to be its own country. Controll education and create an uninformed generation which can easily be manipulated. Just like Mussolini in Italy.
Educated the best and throw away the rest . British thought like this in the 30s . Feels like education in the USA will be going into a time Time Machine ! Not for the good !
Absolutely. How much does it cost to attend a reputable private school in Texas? Here in the Atlanta area, itβs around 25k to 33k a year. I assume that someone somewhere is also plotting a way to make money off the loans that parents will be taking out to educate their kids.
Public funds belong in public schools!! Thanks to @texastribune.org I was able to see David Cook voted for it, when I sent an email to his office as one of his constituents saying that I was not for it. Apparently his beliefs are more important than what a constituent says.
I have been contacting people and working against this for so long, but I think itβs just going to take Texans seeing this before they care. Or not. A third of Texas voters never show up anyway. I guess this is really what people want.
School vouchers, hospitals, prisons, anything they can pawn off for their cronies to make a buck with. And we all pay for it without much of a benefit to society.
Cowards all the Republicans! Who voted for this. The capital was full of people who do not support vouchers! I guess this government could careless about what people think or want.
Alabama has started the voucher for private or home schooling. All Alabama schools are underfunded. Who it hurts the most are rural schools where there are little to no private schools alternatives.
Private school vouchers are a windfall for flyby-night private schools. Promise the moon and stars, collect the funding over a couple of years and VANISH. Meanwhile the public schools in that district suffer from ignorant parents and greed #no2schoolvouchers
