There's that famous study about men perceiving women as "dominating the conversation" in situations where women spoke half as much as men. These stats are even more absurd.

I haven’t seen anything on this so it might have been already discussed. I wonder if the diversity and having a Black Woman as a CO hurt Kill the Justice League? I enjoyed the game and none of it bothered me but looks at the changes made to the DLC characters made me question did it fall victim too?
It was a looter shooter targeted at fans of a stealth action series which killed off a fan favourite character unceremoniously, on top of being one of the final performances of a legendary voice actor.
Some people might blame the CO or diversity, but the actual diagnosis is IMHO far simpler.
Now remember I bought the game and I enjoyed it and I’m still playing it. But when it’s known Sweetbaby consulted on it and the pushback they got earlier this year. I was wondering if a vocal minority of gamers were able to derail any positive narrative the game might have had in the public eye.
By like reviewing bombing and twisting things so that casual player might just negative reviews and avoid the game. But as the first reply mentioned. It’s more likely the death of Batman and the passing of Kevin Conroy that soured people. These were just thoughts I had knowing the gaming landscape.
Let's get this straight. IF it was affected, the protagonist isn't the problem. The problem is a concerted campaign of brigading and harassment conducted by a misogynioristic superminority that punches down because they are too cowardly & afraid to punch up, and the acquiescence of onlookers.
In what way? The entire idea that having a Black woman in a senior creative position on a game development team has some predictable effect on the game is itself problematic.
"I used to never see them (I did, but just had not been told this was a slight against myself) and now I see them all the time (Because I follow a curated list that tells me who to be mad at), that's basically an infinite percentage increase"
I read an interview with someone who worked on Bojack Horseman. They deliberately counted non-male background characters, because even being aware of representation, eyeballing it would lead to more of a 70/30 split.
It is *wild*. Even a very lefty and feminist partner of mine would listen (or pretend to listen) to me, and then go "you know what we should do? [Proceeds to say the same thing i just said]"
