They can explain it. They choose not too. I’m quite sure internal conversations consider the costs incurred by the negative press & attention & consider it an acceptable cost off business compared to the extra profits available by regularly endangering employees. That’s capitalism
Amazon's approach to workplace safety is horrific. Anyone who knows anything about safety culture knows a "sh1t happens" attitude is equivalent to actually hurting people. There are plenty of industries they can ask about it. Aviation, oil & gas, etc
