just kinda felt like a chore to play, the levels just weren't very interesting or fun to navigate and it does the item pickup into ambush thingy so SO much, I didn't particularly like any of the additions other than the funny ass revenants those guys are a joy to see and fight against actually
Oh dude, I just thought recently... What's your take on Episode 4 of Doom 1?
I ask because Doom 1 Episode 1, 2 and 3 are overall sweet as hell, but 4 felt like a drag to me. So little ammo, like I had to watch my back WAY too much, and I was bored of the music (Knee Deep in the Code) very quickly

And yeah, Doom 1 feels a lot more concise and actually awesome, like proper structures and cool levels.
