I have always wondered, Does technology, especially computers; solved problems for good?
I mean when we introduce a solution to a problem with tech and computers, was there any chance that those are considered as standards and we don't really mess with them anymore?

For example: buying a "smart" home product
Back to original question, Has any piece of tech ever solved a problem (maybe continue to do so) permanently without reinventing itself everytime?🤔
The wheel continues to do amazing things.
I like getting paid every 2 weeks. Computers do a great job of insuring that happens.
Ever get on an airplane? They're pretty incredible.
But, if by "Technology" you mean your iPhone, I agree 100%.
I'm always thinking about "mission critical" systems like an airplane. It's great that we systems like these to rely on
OTOH, we have a constant flood of updates to justify the existence of the products
