While there are much much much bigger overarching concerns, there’s also the small issue that I have no idea how to do my job and be hopeful or funny for people now.

You aren't always required to be funny. You can be supportive or relatable in rough times like this. Acknowledge and validate community fears. Do your best to be genuine in the moment.
You’re human too. It’s okay if you struggle with that for a bit. All we can ask is that you do your best and spread as much positivity as you are mentally and emotionally able to. We’re all in this together, anyway. 🫂
I empathize. I have to go teach a bunch of high school students and put on a show as if everything is okay... they're going to be safe and not on one of his lists.
I appreciate all that you do & we need a lot of things, but you being you will always be helpful, even if it isn't always upbeat 🩵🩵
I have always, and will always, respect you for what you’ve done and for thinking of others, especially in times like this.
I hope you’re taking time for yourself, too. Mourn, cry, scream, eat an extra bowl of ice cream, hug a loved one. We’ll get through together. We’ll find hope together.
As an audience, it would be rude to ignore how certain things affect you as well as us. If anything, honestly, it's something to sympathize with. It's human. You have the will to uplift us, and that speaks volumes. At the end of the day, even a little distraction can go a long way <3
Take care man
I understand fully. You can't put on a happy mask in the middle of a tornado. Know that we are here for you being you, and whatever you need to do, we support it.
