Guess I'll be using OpenStreetMap instead of google Maps going forward. It's honestly a better app but, like everything else it was convenient to use maps. I'm going to miss Waze but it's also owned by google & I'm done supporting companies that are going down on the orange.

Waze is awesome but it's good to test for alternatives. Nothing is as good.

It is. But it's also owned by google and I can't use a mapping service that bows to the conceit of renaming 500 year old features because they want to ignore brown people. I mean how about trumplandia?

Then I'll move to something else but I don't see that happening since it's controlled by a foundation that doesn't need to go down on the current administration

The OSM foundation would block renaming a map feature? I am not saying it should be renamed but if the USGS and other agencies officially adopt the new name then OSM tends to reflect that in some way

I'm saying that it's a community effort and doesn't have it's head stick up the us government's ass. Nobody else in the world is going to call it the Gulf of America just like maps isn't going to anyplace else but here
