I support Harris over Trump and even voted for her. But instead of blaming the people who withheld your vote you should be demanding that the candidate work harder to earn their votes.

Since I was in high school in the early 00s, the Democratic party has pushed SO much further left. Particularly during Obama. Because we showed up & he was willing to listen (I had issues w/him but still). The right won't. The Dems can't do anything if they aren't in power. This isn't complicated.

In HS, being gay was still a beatable offense. Trans was unheard of. Gay marriage? Absolutely not. Most Dems wouldn't touch the subject positively, at most they'd "support human rights" for gay people, and civil unions. During Obama's time, that changed. Because the party listened & moved left.

I also voted for Kamala but only because Trump was worse and not because she laid out in kind of future I wanted to live in that actually addressed the problems we were facing. I think that’s why 90 million people stayed home, she said she’d be like Joe Biden even though Joe Biden was unpopular.

This is a capitalist society and one election cycle cannot change that. Withholding or even worse, not voting at all (esp down ballot) is not going to get the results you want. You don’t get your whole wish list in one go, you have to do it in steps that hopefully result in small victories.

I agree, if Harris had won, things wouldn’t have been perfect we still would’ve had issues to fight for but now we are fighting for the existence of our democracy, our loved ones and even our lives. He said what he wanted to do and P2025 spelled it out for us, more of us needed to listen.

Well, she actively chose to make Palestinian advocates the enemy, lied to the American people about supplying weapons to Israel, and was a prosecutor. This is at the same time, protesters were being violently forced out by police on college campuses, with 0 acknowledgment from Harris.

As evil as Cheney was, he did a whole lot of that. Because of Dick, Harris could have done something. Stood up to her boss, like a leader should, and forced Biden to do something, anything, that wasn't flailing like a winged duck. She could have not called protesters antisemitic or trump supporters.

Her being a capitalist is moot point. No amount of protest voting was going to change that. The plan SHOULD have been to vote for her to make sure we were safe. Then the day after the election we could’ve started on working to dismantle capitalism. Instead, non-voters sold us out.
